Expecting a second baby into the family brings a unique set of emotions—joy, excitement, and, sometimes, a little worry.
For my returning client, Kayleigh, this journey was about more than just preparing for labour; it was about navigating the emotional landscape of expanding her family, deepening her connection with her newborn, and ensuring her firstborn still felt loved and secure.

Navigating Concerns and Finding Reassurance
When Kayleigh reached out to me during her second pregnancy, she shared her biggest worries. Would she be able to bond with her baby in the same way, how would her daughter adjust to this change, and, having experienced birth before, would the pushing phase feel daunting?
These were deep, valid concerns that many parents experience when growing their families. Instead of letting fear take over, we decided to shift the narrative.
From Fear to Flow- the Birth Story!
When the time came, K entered labour feeling calm and confident. She embraced the process, allowing her body’s natural rhythm to guide her. The affirmations she had internalized became second nature, and she tuned into them effortlessly. Relaxation and trust replaced anxiety and fear.
Then came the pushing phase—the part that had once felt intimidating. But this time, it was different. K’s words immediately after birth captured the moment perfectly:
“I feel like a Birth Goddess!”
Pushing had been easy. She felt powerful, present, and deeply connected to her body and baby. The transformation from fear to unwavering trust in herself was a beautiful testament to the work she had put in.
