I have worked hard over the years to create a collaborative approach to your birth experience. As a result, I have developed a good working relationship with Obstetrician’s, Midwives, and Neonatal Nurses in the hospital. However I would encourage you to ask your OB about our care and your intention to invest in doula services.
I take part in a minimum of 6 professional development/continuing education courses each year. I am also an independent trainer for Childbirth International which requires me to stay current on best practices and current evidence in birth and lactation.”

My husband and I have two children. Our son was born in 2002 and our daughter in 2008. I was inspired to become a doula after a very positive birth experience with the support of my doula and husband in 2008.
I will have a backup doula whom you will get a chance to meet before the birth and will be briefed on your preferences and goals. We will chat more on this when we meet.
After our first prenatal meeting we will set up a WhatsApp group, with your permission. This will give you quick access to me so I can answer questions and concerns as they arise.

I help them develop skills to best support you and also provide insight and reassurance during the process.
I believe that epidurals have their place as do other medical interventions. My role is to make sure that you have all the information you need to help you on the right and safest course of action in any scenario.
