Feven Binega-Northcott

Founder of Harmony Birth & Co-Founder of Pod Bermuda

Hi, I’m Feven, a full-spectrum women’s health practitioner guiding clients in fertility, birth, and lactation, and supporting aspiring birth and lactation professionals. I founded Harmony Birth Services to provide informed, compassionate support that helps families navigate these transformative life experiences with confidence.

My work centres on supporting people through two deeply formative transitions: birth and reproductive health. Through birth, postpartum, lactation, and fertility support, I offer evidence-informed education, grounded guidance, and compassionate care so clients can better understand their bodies, make informed choices, and move through these seasons with confidence.

Before transitioning into full-time birth work, I spent 17 years as a Montessori Early Childhood Guide. This foundation continues to shape my approach, which is centred on respect, observation, autonomy, and trust in innate capacity. My journey into birth work deepened in 2008 after my own empowering Vaginal Birth After a C-section (VBAC) experience, supported by my own doula and husband.

Wise Cycles grew from my lived experience and ongoing observation of how limited and fragmented reproductive health education often is. The program supports those navigating painful or irregular cycles, transitioning off hormonal birth control, preparing for pregnancy, or seeking a deeper understanding of their hormonal health. It is practical, inclusive, and rooted in physiology, lived experience, and informed choice.

In 2021, I joined Childbirth International as a trainer, where I support aspiring birth and lactation professionals in developing both skill and discernment in their work. Alongside this role, I remain committed to ongoing community work and professional development, with additional training in trauma-informed care, perinatal mental health, pregnancy and infant loss support, and optimal nutrition and lifestyle approaches for postpartum recovery.

In 2024, I co-founded Pod.bm, born from a long-held dream of creating a one-stop shop for women’s health and family lifestyle resources. Pod was designed to thoughtfully source current, evidence-informed products and resources that genuinely support clients and families across the reproductive and parenting continuum.

Across all of my work, including birth support, fertility, and lactation, I offer current, evidence-based information alongside emotional, physical, and practical support. Birth and reproductive health are not isolated events. They shape how we experience our bodies, our relationships, and ourselves. I believe you deserve care that is respectful, informed, and deeply supportive, so you can move through these experiences feeling confident, capable, and well held.

I founded Harmony Birth Services to create a space where pregnant people and their partners feel informed, supported, and empowered to curate birth and parenting experiences that align with their values and circumstances.

Expertise: Postpartum Support

I am fuelled by the passion to support new families in approaching and moving through the transition of their own postpartum period, the way I was through mine, with compassion for themselves, strength and confidence in their decisions, and comfort knowing that they are deserving of being held and nurtured in the same way that they work so hard to do for their new baby.

I seek to provide you with the village that got a little lost somewhere in our past and to inform and support you and your family in what has the potential to be one of the most impactful and beautiful transitions in life.

In 2015, I initiated a meeting with a doula in Bermuda - at that point, not truly knowing or understanding what the term 'doula' meant, or realising that a role like that existed. The concept kept reappearing in various ways within my life, and the interest kept sparking, but didn’t really take full light until a few years further down the road, after I’d moved back to Bermuda.

I certified as a Postpartum Doula in 2025.

Before moving back to Bermuda, I had spent the former 6 years living in the Netherlands. This was where I experienced my pregnancy, and where I would give birth. The Netherlands is renowned for their maternity care; their natural approach to birth and their “it takes a village” mentality towards each and every day after the birth of a new baby. All families, no matter their background, income, or personal circumstances, receive a postpartum doula following the birth of their baby, fully covered by insurance. Having that level of attuned care, someone who recognised the magnitude of the transition, affirmed my emotions, questions, and doubts, and showed me I was worthy of such care, changed the trajectory of my beginning into motherhood.

I believe that entering parenthood, whether for the first time or again, with someone at home devoted solely to supporting us through the emotional, physical, and lifestyle transitions, fundamentally shaped my early experience of motherhood.

Expertise: Birth and Postpartum Support

Hi, my name is Rita Stevens, affectionately known as “Nurse Rita.” With 47 years of nursing experience, I have the privilege of serving a second generation of families, caring for the babies of those who were once my own little clients in the late 1980s and early ’90s. My journey has taken me from working in labour and delivery settings in California and Bermuda to working for over 32 years alongside three OB/GYN doctors as their office nurse.

As a certified childbirth instructor and lactation educator, I have dedicated my career to empowering families through education and support. I teach childbirth, parenting, newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery courses, always guided by a holistic and compassionate approach.

In June 2023, with the encouragement of the inspiring younger birth workers in our community, I embraced a new chapter as a birth and postpartum doula. I am honoured to continue walking alongside families as they transition into parenthood, bringing together decades of experience with a spirit of growth and renewal.

When I’m not supporting families, I enjoy spending time with my husband of 44 years and our two adult children. I also love reading, cooking, and exploring new recipes.

I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving families with heart and dedication and look forward to connecting with the beautiful community at Harmony Birth Services.
