Meet the Team
Feven Binega-Northcott
Founder of Harmony Birth
Hi, I am Feven, an experienced Montessori Early Childhood guide, and an accredited birth & postpartum doula, childbirth educator and lactation counsellor.
I'm passionate about perinatal education and support work. My journey into birth and lactation support work was inspired by my own positive experience in 2008, giving birth to my second child through VBAC with the help of my doula and husband. I founded Harmony Birth Services in 2009, inspired to create a space where pregnant people and their support person can feel informed and supported to curate a positive birth and parenting experience on their terms.
As a lifelong learner, I have taken additional training in trauma-informed care, perinatal mental health, pregnancy and infant loss support, and optimal nutrition and lifestyle for postpartum recovery. In addition, I am dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest research and practices to provide my clients with the best support and guidance.
As a doula, I provide clients with current, evidence-based information, emotional and physical support, advocacy, and partner support during pregnancy, labour, and postpartum. Birth and parenting are transformative life events, and I firmly believe that you deserve informational, emotional, and practical support so you can have a positive experience wherever and however you choose to give birth.

Morgan Hopkins, Postpartum Support
I have always been drawn to pregnancy, birth, and motherhood - long before I’d even experienced any of it myself. About 10 years ago, I initiated a meeting with a doula in Bermuda - at this point not truly knowing or understanding what the term doula meant, or realising that a role like that existed. The concept kept reappearing in various ways within my life and the interest kept sparking but didn’t really take full light until a few years further down the road, after I’d moved back to Bermuda - equipped now with those experiences of pregnancy, birth, and motherhood, from which I would gain that final bit of motivation to commit to the pursuing of the path that I always seemed to naturally be finding myself on time and time again.
Before moving back to Bermuda, I had spent the former 6 years living in the Netherlands. This was where I experienced my pregnancy, and where I would give birth. The Netherlands is renowned for their maternity care; their natural approach to birth and their “it takes a village” mentality towards each and every day after the birth of a new baby. All families, no matter their background, income, or personal circumstances - receive a postpartum doula following the birth of their baby, fully covered by insurance. I strongly believe that being given this gift to enter parenthood, for the first time or otherwise, with someone there at home with me dedicated solely to supporting us through those most major transitional emotions, physical states, and lifestyle changes - who recognised the height and depth of that experience, affirmed all of those reactions, questions, and doubts we can have in those first weeks and months with our babies, and who showed me that I was worth that level of attention and care… altered my entire beginning trajectory into motherhood.
I am fuelled by the passion to support new families in approaching and moving through the transition of their own postpartum period, the way I was through mine, with compassion for themselves, strength and confidence in their decisions, and comfort knowing that they are deserving of being held and nurtured in the same way that they work so hard to do for their new baby.
I seek to provide you with the village that got a little lost somewhere in our past and to inform and support you and your family in what has the potential to be one of the most impactful and beautiful transitions in life.

Rita Stevens, Birth and Postpartum Support
Hi, my name is Rita Stevens—affectionately known as “Nurse Rita.” With 47 years of nursing experience, I have the privilege of serving a second generation of families—caring for the babies of those who were once my own little clients in the late 1980s and early ’90s. My journey has taken me from labor and delivery in California and Bermuda to working alongside three OB/GYN doctors as their office nurse for over 32 years.
As a certified childbirth instructor and lactation educator, I have dedicated my career to empowering families through education and support. I teach childbirth, parenting, newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery courses, always guided by a holistic and compassionate approach.
In June 2023, with the encouragement of the inspiring younger birth workers in our community, I embraced a new chapter as a birth and postpartum doula. I am honored to continue walking alongside families as they transition into parenthood, bringing together decades of experience with a spirit of growth and renewal.
When I’m not supporting families, I enjoy spending time with my husband of 44 years and our two adult children. I also love reading, cooking, and exploring new recipes.
I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving families with heart and dedication and look forward to connecting with the beautiful community at Harmony Birth Services.
