For me, labour was super fast and baby actually arrived before the Dr did 😅 and we don't know how we would have gotten through it all without the amazing Feven! 🙌🏼 She has SUCH a soothing way about her and she really guided us through birth.She helped guide baby boy up my chest for the breast crawl and helped him latch, watched to make sure they did delayed cord clamping as we had requested etc. After birth, Feven helped me into the shower and had lovely and soothing oils to add to a gentle, plain body wash which made showering in clinical a hospital shower off the birthing room feel a lot less medical. She came to the recovery room with us and helped guide me and baby with breastfeeding and to make sure we were ok before she left. After baby was home, she came to us for a home visit to see how we were doing and was super patient going through allllll of our questions 😅Before and after birth, the whole Doula Difference team has been so lovely and helpful. It was definitely a great decision to get a doula team and I like that each of them brings something different to the table. Having a team also means that any questions you send are more likely to get answered quickly as there are 3 people. It also ensured that there would be someone available no matter when I went into labour, even if Feven had been unable to come for some unforeseen reason.I felt and feel supported for my pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey so highly recommend them! ❤️❤️❤️

Feven was absolutely essential. Her guidance helped me through making medical decisions for my wife when she was too exhausted to feel comfortable making them for herself. Sticking to a birth plan is difficult. Having someone reassure you that, regardless of outward appearances, things were progressing normally was comforting to us. It led to a more satisfying experience for my wife and a healthy baby. At the end of the day, that’s all that matters. I am grateful for her expertise and patience. We will definitely work with Feven again.

Having the support of Feven during my long (first time) delivery was invaluable. She provided support I honestly didn’t even know was needed or possible to get. When you’re at your most vulnerable having someone there in your corner makes you feel so much safer. Feven explained things to me as they were happening, provided options to me, and reminded me of my rights throughout the process. I feel strongly my son’s birth story would be completely different without her there. Her simple suggestion of changing positions helped me dilate from 3 to 9cms in 45 mins to get to a point where I was ready to push. After a long day and night she was there for me emotionally the entire time. She advocated and reminded me what I wanted when sometimes things felt unclear in my mind. I vividly remember and will definitely never forget having her there with me. From helping my husband support me, physically stepping in when needed, advocating for me when I couldn’t, and (probably most importantly) reminding me that I could do this. I would 1,000 times over recommend working with Feven.

Labor started a few hours later and was slow, I labored at home until our scheduled induction time 7am Wednesday and when we got into the hospital I was already 7 cms! I was shocked since it just seemed that it was too easy so far, even the doctor was shocked and said I was smiling too much! They gave me a few hours to move along on my own but I was hooked up to all the machines and only given about a half hour off of them in that time so I didn’t make any progress so we agreed to do the lowest dose of pitocin and that had me at pushing just an hour or two later. It all felt very manageable until pushing time when I definitely didn’t think I could do it but there was no going back Rohan was born at 2:45pm! I credit such an quick and easy labor almost completely to hypnobirthing. I used the breathing, visualization and relaxing on each contraction and it clearly worked so well! I thought for sure I was only going to be 2cms at the hospital since I thought I was still in early stages of labor! There was a student nurse with the midwife and she told me later that she had never seen or even thought it was possible to have such a calm labor and she said it looked like I was meditating while having contractions. She really seemed in awe (not saying that to compliment myself but to compliment hypnobirthing and your teaching) and I told her that I used hypnobirthing and I think it made all the difference. I was nervous about the hospital and that the scheduled induction would result in a C-section but I really credit all the knowledge we had to leading us to the best possible result for me and baby. Thank you so much for what you do for pregnant women! I will be telling every pregnant woman I know or meet to definitely do hypnobirthing (and the practice is a must but so easy, I mainly just fell asleep listening to the tracks every night)!!
